Hi has anyone had the problem of there tailgate boot lights flickering on and off when they open the tailgate,

Check the lock cos that (I believe and don't quote me on this) governs the light coming on or off when the tailgate is opened...
Clean the connector and the ones where the bulb housing is too (on each light) on the hatch.

I had this problem with mine too, remove the light cluster and check the connectors. There was a piece of metal from the connector missing, so I got a soldering iron and filled the hole with solder. I then rubbed the base with sandpaper to smooth the connector for the bulb. Its now working perfect - if you have a soldering iron I would recommend giving it a go. ONE THING...... (stuff the light bulb hole with cardboard to prevent hot solder from falling onto the lense....... this happened to me and it left a little scorch mark. Its not very noticeable BUT enough to P**S me off!
