Apologies

Post by lezmtaylor » Tue Dec 13, 2011 4:42 pm

Apologies to anyone waiting for me to write the 'How To' for fitting Paddleshift conversion.
Unfortunately I have a severe spinal condition (Arthritus and damaged spine) , which 10 weeks ago decided to let go, resulting in me being laid up ,on my back, ever since.
I have had previous surgery ( decompression on the lower five vertabrae) 3 years ago which was not a success and was told no more invasive treatment was available.
I have been referred to Frenchay hosp in Bristol to see if they will do anything more.
Hopefully in the new year, I will be able to get to my car and take a few photos of the wiring etc.
So, please be patient it will happen.

Happy Christmas to all and a good New Year.

Sorry to hear that Lez, I remember us talking about that in Bristol.

Hopefully they will find something that can be done to help you getting mobile again.

As a fellow back injury sufferer - and having had surgery (albeit not to the same extent as i've only got three discs with 'issues') you have my sympathy. The NHS Wouldn't play (offered injections only) so I went private via company insurance scheme. The bill for a couple if hours in theatre and an overnight stay was over £15k!! I'm back to Addenbrookes in Cambridge next week for more investigation. I've also been told no more surgery - seems once is all they can do for certain conditions. It's no fun, and very frustrating not being able to do a lot of things that I used to without ever really giving things a thought - especially on the car.

Take it steady, and carefully. We'll still be here to talk to. :D
