Silver or Black grills

Post by Cannondale » Mon Jan 16, 2012 2:52 pm

Been looking on Autotrader at possiable X5,s to look at and noticed some have black Grills and some have Silver. These are on 05/06 Derv. sports.

Does the colour signify any other diffrances?

Thanks Rich...

From BMW they would have been OEM on V8 models, then they became an extra you could buy/spec. And then you have us lot who spray our black ones...

Thanks,

I looked at a 4.8is and though it was just on them but then noticed the silver grill on some dervs, must say the silver looks nice. I just though it might be part of a pack and would indicat other nice to have bits.

me i think silver grills look good against the black cars not so good against lighter silver cars - but as always its what you prefer :driving:

That'll be the 'Titanium' grilles. They were standard on the higher spec cars such as the 4.8 and a cost option on the Sports (well at least that was the case in 2004 when I ordered mine) which normally had Black. As I had Sterling Grey, I thought the black looked better as it provided a contrast.

Depends on the body colour as to which looks best, imo ;) Mine came with Titanium grilles which i didn't like at all .

I have titanium kidneys on sapphire black, I think the contrast looks great.

Id have liked black kidneys as well, along with black alloys. But then I'm biased- black is one of my preferred colours!

Colour is a personal choice. Go with ur instincts is what I'd say.
