Tinted windows

Post by weirdfish » Sat Feb 11, 2012 2:36 pm

My recently acquired beast is lacking the all-important tinted glass, really need to get this sorted ASAP, so my question is, has anyone had this done, and is it any good. I have always been very wary of the old type of tints you used to see with air bubble everywhere, I know they have got a lot better, but can they get it looking like proper tinted glass, and does it last.
If anyone has had this done, and they can recc. Someone then that would be even better, around the Glos. area would be ideal, although don't mind travelling for the right job.
Thanx.

So if i want a factory look is there a particular shade of tint that i can ask for? Is it a %age, e.g. 30% tint?

thanks

Yeah, its rated in %ages. You want a 20%, that'll be dark enough and a similar level to OEM privacy glass.

Just for info you can't (or shouldn't) tint anything in front of the B pillar, but many people do.
