had a good week with X5

Post by graemeX5 » Fri Feb 17, 2012 7:05 pm

Had a good week and made progress with the parking sensors as none were working and the light illuminated and a continuos tone indicating a problem.

The two front outer sensors had been knocked and so were not seated well in the bumper. I was sure they were faulty so to took X5 to local Indy garage on Thursday and left it with him.

Well would you believe it yes it was the front sensors, but not not the outers it was the inner ones which looked perfect by comparison. As you can imagine I didn't believe him but he showed me the codes and it's true. So now the car beeps loads.

Well today I was going to ring Scott who does the tinting of car windows locally when my brother in law rang and said he was at his car garage doing the windows on his X6 and did I want the windows done on the X5 well - yes what a result. :driving:

Just need to get sone pics up.

So tomorrow going to see roger at the local bumper centre to see what we can do to fix the slight damage to the bumper and sensors
