Hi guys
My mk3 satnav drive is faulty as it just ejects all satnav cd's I have tried, yes all BMW or compatible discs.
Apparently I can get it fixed for 100 quid plus the postage to and from Germany but my question is, what goes wrong with them and could I possibly fix it myself? How hard can it be?!!!
Cheers
Gareth

Usually the 'reading head' and you can get them if you do a search.
Alternatively, if inclined, the MK4 unit is a good upgrade and will fit straight in.

If you're looking at spending that kind of money, I'm with Sanj. Get a Mk4 DVD nav computer and bring the capabilities up to date.
You can change the laser deck yourself if you're happy with soldering and working with electronics etc.

I would upgrade to the mk4 but still looking at well over 200 quid for one which is half way to a replacement HU.
