whats going on here then ?

Several months ago I tried using my BMW 1.4 Scanner to set the doors to lock when driving above 20mph. No matter what I tried it wouldn't engage after setting it. so i gave up and forgot about it. At the weekend I had a flat battery (door hadn't been closed properly and the car had been siting for a fortnight). So i got it going again and when I took it out for a run all of a sudden the door lock setting kicked in and hey presto it worked fine. Went out a couple of times yesterday and it was still fine.

Went out in the car today and the doors have stopped automatically locking above 20mph.

Any ideas?

tbh, it's a bit of a strange one. I can understand the initial part when battery went flat and then re-charged the auto door locking started to work as sometimes a battery reset helps to kick things into place with the ECU and general electrical gremlins. But can't see why it has reset back to not working again.

Perhaps Jason can shed some light?
