Found 1 At Last

Post by Denis O » Thu Apr 05, 2012 6:55 pm

Deposit put down on this 06 Le Mans Special and pick it up in Aberdeen on Sunday. 500 mile+ drive back to Kent should see all the issues become clear. 58k and lots of goodies including heated steering wheel. Cream Nappa Comfort seats which is what I wanted and very rare, hence the Scottish trip.

1 pic as a taster.

Very nice car. 500 miles should definitely identify any quirks (none) and you'll still be grinning when you get home. We'll wave as you go past down the A1 (assuming you come that way to go to Kent).

+1 for Comfort Seats. Got the newer and even comfier on the X6 too and the side bolsters are adjustable and give you a hug when the car starts... :D

Cheers fellas/

Pictures once I get back and get some Megs action going.

Had to be Comfort Seats as SWMBO will use this a lot and doesn't like the seat bolsters on the sport. The bain of small people.

It's my furthest trip to get a car. Glasgow was the previous record for an E39 Touring. Let's hope it's worth it.

Signature changed Sanj. This is an addition as opposed to a replacement.

It's due an Insp 2 when it gets home. Dealer was going to do it but I negotiated a furter £500 off and it goes to my Indy next week for the work. I know it will be done properly that way.

Need some help with VED, According to DVLA website it's taxed till end of May but there is no tax disc. How does one go about getting a replacement?

Damn - that's a nice place to be, 2 X5's in the drive. Make sure you take all the good bits off it for your car before she notices!

VED should be a quick call to DVLA or proof of ownership (V5) plus yet another form and off to the Post Office (no doubt with an admin fee).

Oh and watch out for the weather, may still have snow up there.

If the disk has gone, they might have sent it off for a refund so you may actually not have any tax on it.
