Vibration on tickover on a Derv

Post by Cannondale » Fri Apr 13, 2012 4:27 pm

I test drove a 2006 3.0D with 60,000 miles on and when in gear on tickover I could feel a vibraton in the car and especcially through my foot on the brake pedle.

I drove a 4.8is the day before and this was fine, no vibrations on tick over.

Is it normal on the Derv? if not what is it likely to be?

Thanks Richard...

Don't remember mine doing that. Was the engine cold? What was it like in N or P? Just in case it was the effect of the gearbox being under load, as in it was in D but being held by the brakes?

It was like that after a 10 mile test drive.

it was a full history car serviced 8,000 miles ago

It was noticable in D, but I could feel a slight vibrtion in N and P but I guess that could be just normal for a Derv.

Mine done the same it turned out to be two faulty injectors. Replaced a year ago now and it's been 100% since
