Yup.... Like I say it will be glued back together. Double check the orientation of the male end before you commit lol.... I used strong superglue and a hair dryer to dry it out faster. Also make sure you route that new extender cable back through the same was as the original gubbins went, I have a picture on my thread so you'll see what I mean... Will also save you drilling a big hole that you don't need too
Re: iPhone 4
got it... got it. Think its in the right way round. now all i got to do is put it all back together, im using mitre adhesive and activator so its dried instantly. thanks for all your help you are a star!

Hi Dirtymonkey
If your fed up with me asking for your help please say... I just got a new ejectbox and have got the insides out and got the snapin in and the extension lead through and its all in under the armrest. With the underside cover off the armrest i can see the original wires from the eject box run down one of the two side struts that lift the lid of the armest. Any tips how to neatly put in my extension lead bearing in mind the struts are hollow but a complete circle and I still have the socket on the iphone extension? was going to pm you but wasnt sure if that would be ok, hopefully I will be able to return the help one day

Look for my thread, think its called "intravee installed" I've got photos on there. If there not clear enough or ive forgot to upload them just post back on here and I'll take more or upload them.
Re: iPhone 4
Cheers,I have looked at those photos loads too but forgot about them mid surgery! thats what I did in the end, seems to work fine opening and closing. One question is the phone button that used to pair the phone is now gone, I think I read somewhere that a half push of the single eject button would go to pairing mode but if I have taken the guts out of the eject box surely that wont work? Did read it cant be done by steering wheel button

Not sure, didn't think about that as mines already paired. I've got navcoder and BMW scanner 1.4.0 if I ever need to pair a new phone though.
Might try getting it into pairing mode tomorrow with the button... Doubt it will work though.

Yeah I'm not too worried as its all paired and did seethe option on 1.4.0 too. The iPhone extension cable I have is a sync cable not just charge but has less wires than yours and it looks like you did some soldering or am I wrong

No soldering. I bought a 30 pin extension lead and stripped that down which the male end of is now in the snap in. On the female end of the extension I have a 12v to 5v adapter also from eBay so my iPhone charges. Beauty of using the extension cable means if I change my phone, I can just plug a normal lead in and use the new phone or iPod etc
