I have an older AVIC model in my other motor and got to say they are fantastic units. Music ultimately the iPod although you can use a USB hard drive or an SD card and just load the music or videos onto the hard drive or card and plug them in and away you go. Plays AVI files to so bonus for me. The Bluetooth in those are made by Parrot so again excellent and the Sat Nav I think it may be iGo but whatever it is they work great. My older model I know you can get into the OS and update or customise all sorts of stuff, done that when I first got it then never touched it since. Super units.

I had the dsp setup with widescreen unit and mkiv Nav plus interchanger.

It wasn't bad in all honesty but I had a load of kit from previous motors that I wanted to install. My friend sourced the pioneer for me and I have to say I'm very impressed. It is an all encompassing unit with satnav, bluetooth, DVD player, 10gb hard drive and plenty of inputs/outputs too. I haven't tbh loaded any music as of yet as I have an iPhone spec.dock which keeps me plenty entertained. The satnav is absolutely brilliant too.

Don't think you can be disappointed either way the units are way advanced to the oem ones.
