Brembo disc and pads

Post by phill » Sun Jun 03, 2012 3:10 pm

I have fitted Brembo OE discs and pads to the front of the X5 (4.6is) yesterday. It will take a couple of weeks to bed these in and I will update this topic as to how much dust (and mileage done) on the wheels and any squeak (if any).

As for ease of fitment I had no problems, they where a like for like disc and pad.
Nice touch on the disc is, 1 dimple where the pads make contact on the surface, this is a wear indicator for the disc telling you when the disc is at minimum thickness.

Will be fitting the rears in the next couple of weeks, thought I would let the fronts bed in and then change the rears.

good seller for me, when I ordered they arrived whithin a couple of days. It is best to phone them though just to check they have them in stock, as they where having a problem with the rears on mine last time I spoke.

Always liked Brembo so will be good to see how you get on. When going back to OE from my StopTech BBKs I went Pagid all round and they stop great but do squeal (even though I've redone the copper grease, etc).
