Re: sat nav
For that year of car, if not updated by the previous owner then it will be the Mk3 CD based unit.
Scn Protect,Alarm Chirp,Ashtray del,Sub install,IV2,Screens,PS2 Media,Chrome rings,Schnitzer pedals,Reverse cam,Silver Grills,F/mirrors,Comp Spkrs,Heated S/W,20"168s,Splash scn,Arches,Remap,LED Tails,ACS Spoiler,'is' Bumper Trim,Rear heated seats,Rear blinds
Re: sat nav
Pre-facelift (up to 2003) = Mk3 CD system. Post-facelift = Mk 4 DVD based system by default. Unless replaced.
The Nav disc should also have either a CD or DVD symbol on it - assuming the owner has used the right type.

The Mark 4 enables use of the larger maps so you can have the whole of Europe rather than just UK & Ireland. Not sure what other extra functions you can have. If you're not driving outside UK then it might not be such a major thing for you.
I think the DVD just gives you more of everything - including the charge for the new disc.... >:(. (£180!!
