Passenger side interior door handle not working!

Hi guys,

I had this issue a while ago where the passenger side door handle opens from outside but not outside.
Now iv taken it to a garage and they are telling me that a 'Plastic' piece inside the handle had snapped and I need a whole new unit.

It's part number 51218402539

I can't find this anywhere! Stealers are charging me £129 plus vat.

I thought this would only need changing if the door did not open from the outside...

Indy is charging £50 for labour but I need to get the part for cheaper as I am about to put down a deposit on a house!

Any ideas on where I could get the part cheaper as a quick search on google comes up with nothing!

I can see the part in realOEM but can you go through thislink and see if it's close to what you want?

Just can't see one for the front passenger side...

hi what model is your car ? are you after the inside handle ?
as I changed the external one 2 months ago after following an article on here it was very easy although trying to prize off the door cover was a bit nerve racking , attached the internal door handle twice as I managed to break the light in the handle when refitting so bought 4 spares E53 shape though !

Sanj yes I think it is a similar looking module, not entirely sure as I only have the part number, havent actually seen it.

Syg it's an e53 02 plate. It's the module behind the door car I require, I think it's the whole mechanism.
Just doesn't sound right if the door is opening from the outside...
