Time to wash the car

Post by X5-MK » Wed Aug 08, 2012 6:17 pm

Off for 2 weeks so started on the car yesterday.

1. Took wheels off, washed with Bilberry, dried and applied Iron X
2. Cleaned under arches with Autosmart G101
3. Snow foamed with Valet Pro PH
4. Washed with ZAINO Z-7 and dried
5. Iron X all over and clay bared with Bilt Hamber (soft). Like the fact at you only need water with this clay bar.
6. Snow foamed again and washed with ZAINO Z-7 and dried.

TODAY

1. Applied ZAINO Z-PC, took 4 hours to finish by hand but, worth it.
2. Applied ZAINO Z-A10. Such a fantastic product, so easy to wipe off with great results

I've attached a few photo's for you guys to see of where i'm upto.

Looking good, you just don't realise how big these things are until you start cleaning them.
Are the headlights standard units, or have they been replaced.

Been replaced about 2 years ago. Final thing to do is change the indicator bulbs to chrome on Friday, never ending

The headlight is one piece so needs to come forward but the bumper gets in the way!

Use x555's front bumper removal guide to help bring the bumper forward to give you more room.

Sanj, i'm the one that changed the headlights, no need to move the bumper. Just unclip the eyebrow panel below the headlight and your in.

I think your refering to the facelift model ::)

No, no.... She took the iPad out! It's like, surgically attached to her now!?!

That's the only thing that works (unless I logon to the desktops next to the kids bedroom - not happening).

Time to wash the car

Post by Rusty » Thu Aug 09, 2012 9:40 am

That is looking really spot on.

Washed mine last night (loving the DI still  ) and have the plastics to do today, oh and vacuum out the crisps little one managed to drop when he handed the emptyish and upside down  bag to SWMBO, and no he didn't eat them in the car - that def isn't aloud (joke)

What is your next stage then?
