Another headlight question

Probably been done to death by now, but I'm debating whether  to replace the headlight units on my '53 4.6is.
And before you say it, yes I know it's up for sale, but I'm toying with the idea of keeping it and funding our house renovations a different way, decisions decisions.
Anyway, the units on the car are showing some signs of cloudiness to the plastic lenses, and to me they let the car down a bit, so it's either attempt to wet sand and polish these or go down the route of buying some replacements.
I'm not going to fork out on brand new OE ones, just can't justify the expense, ( unless someone knows of some going for a reasonable amount ), so it's going to have to be after market units.
Would these be the sort of thing to go for, or does anyone have any suggestions, and pics. Of already converted vehicles.

Meguiars Headlight Restorer

No idea how good it is (has just one 5* review) but it may be a much cheaper option......and allow for more 'house funding'..

It's a possibility, but I did take it to a local bodyshop a few weeks ago to see if they could do anything with them, they did get a few of them out by quickly rubbing some 3G compound into them, but they said they were too far gone to get them back.
Hence the reason for looking at replacements, but I might try it myself,  nothing to lose I suppose.

quite timely.. in the sense i saved myself some money  )

mine was slightly smokey on the top. i just did some t-cut and rubbed it manually, being careful not to touch any painted area.

lookin much better now, although admittedly not perfect.
