E53 Pre facelift Xenon / Angel Eyes upgrade help needed

Ok... After my recent X5 purchase I have decided to kick off with a headlight upgrade due to the lenses on my current (non electric levelling) halogen lights being very dull and clouded. 

After doing a fair bit of research on this and other forums I think the route I want to take is a set of Depo Angel Eye Projectors such as these ones:

Now, am I right in thinking that as well as the headlight units I will also need a HID kit to convert the current halogen set up on my X? If that is the case will a kit like this do the job and is that all that will be needed?

Is it worth going for a 75w kit over a 35w kit? I presume these are just brighter but can they still be used for dipped beams?

Next question will be where is the best place to buy Depo lights? I have seen them offered in the US but they seem to be quite pricey at  $400+ not inc shipping! I did notice a post within a thread on this forum where a guest user referred to them being available in Germany for £180?

Hey Phil,

Talk to kkodal78 - he's done the conversion on his and may be able to help you source the unit cheaper in the States (he can get them delivered to the UK base he works on as U.S. prices).

He's done the bulb conversions too (and the halogens, I think).
