Just looking for some advice on bulb...
NON HID.
I was thinking to get Osrams night breakers. Iv seen some HB4 on euro carparts that look good but on the Osram website it says i should only get H7 bulbs? (euro carparts say the HB4 are compatible for E53). so im slightly confused...
I know most people on here have Hid's but any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Edit: Think i figured it out, HB4 bulbs are xenon... whoops

Re: Lightbulbs
Xenon HIDs for the E53 are D2S - not D2R as some sites suggest.
HB4 is a right angle connected halogen filament lamp which (in some versions) also happens to contain Xenon gas, which gives the whiter colour temperature.
Realoem lists the dipped beam as an H1 and the main beam as an H7. Front Foglight is an H3.
HB4 isn't listed at all, and either an H1 or H7 makes more sense. The Osram's always get a good score in Auto Express, along with the Philips equivalent.
If you're ever stuck, then go to Realoem and put the last 7 characters of your VIN in as the 'Serial Number' and go from there...
