Will a Dice Duo Silverline and iPod drain the X5's battery?

Post by sallyjc » Fri Oct 12, 2012 8:02 pm

Hi everyone and thank goodness the weekend is here!

I have heard about the Dice Duo which will allow me to listen to my iPod in the car.

I have a spare iPod which I don't use since I bought an iPhone and I am happy for it to stay in the car all the time connected to the Dice gadget.

After a quick search on the internet I found lots of reports of this gadget draining a car's battery especially if the car had not been driven for a few days.

Then I read some reports saying that new Dice Duo Silverline models don't suffer from this issue but then I read some more reports saying that they do. Help! I don't know what to think!

Of course I will buy a brand new one from Amazon, so what do you think???

Thank you

Sally

Hi

Yes but if possible but I would like to know if these issues still exist before I buy :-)

I have heard of other makes such as Denison and Intravee. Do these makes and models also suffer from these problems?

I still like the Dice though!

Thanks

Sally

You've already mentioned the Intravee. That is the best iPod integration for the E53 X5 by far. The others don't come close (and you won't regret it). The problem does not exist with IV.

I thought you already owned one, hence the post. Can't comment on the problem existing or not.

Go IV, you'll love it (especially with the extras menu).

Thanks.

Is Intravee II the latest model? And where is the best place to buy it?

Is it OK to leave the iPod permanently connected?

Thanks

Sally
