Another New X5 Owner to be

Post by sn0man » Sun Oct 07, 2012 6:57 pm

Hello all, I've been stalking your site for awhile now and have finally taken the plunge and purchased a 2005 X5 4.4i in grey, 81k. I'm like a boy before Christmas as I have paid my deposit and will be picking it up later on this week, as the seller is waiting on the log book and I'm getting them to sort out a few minor issues.
I'm sure I will get to know some of you here over the coming weeks as I know I will have some questions.
Anyhow really just wanted to say hi!

Another New X5 Owner to be

Post by sn0man » Sat Oct 13, 2012 11:17 pm

Hey guys, thanks for your warm welcome!!
An I look forward to spending my hard earned cash on some subtle upgrades. I have always got my engines mapped and an air filter, so I think this will be first on my list!! From reading on here is it BWChiptune that everyone uses?

Also does anybody use an independent bmw mobile company for services etc? As I had a brilliant guy for my Audi, but he does not do BMW! Gutted!

Anyway soooooo chuffed with my new purchase, an with my first baby on the way it definitely fills the gap for a) baby wagon and b) fun daddy motor

I am not sure how far you are from bury st edmunds but if not mind the travel i use a very good indy there.reasonably priced as well. Or jason will be a good option as well since he knows X5 very well. He owns one so that helps :)

Welcome aboard.........fwiw & in case you didn't know you have the most economical V8 E53 ever made......Original 320hp & 6 speed auto versus 286hp and 5 speed as per likes of my prefacelift 4.4i.  Great car and looking good too.

Yep the face lift 4.4 is very good value. I was concidering one but went for a 4.8 in the end.

I am sure it will put a big smile on your face. Mine still does after 6 months of owning it.

I love that, "the most economical". I'm certainly not questioning the statement but do any of us buy a car like this with economy in mind?? But is saying that this is nice to here!!
Is Hayes west of London, in is it Middlesex?
