When I called at HIDS Direct I asked for the 50w ones, he said the 55w slimline ones were better, and cheaper.
They charged me 52.95 I think, discounted over the counter, I paid 65.00 altogether with 2 rear numberplate
LED,s  they never gave me any metal clips, and there was none in the box.!
I had to use my old ones, but had to cut them with my sidecutters to enable me to slide them over the cables at the rear of the bulbs. apart from that all was well and they are 100% better than the OEM candles I had in
I changed the angel eyes marker lights to LED's as well, I may change my binnacle bulbs next, as they look smart when backlit with LED,s, I will have to find out what bulbs they are.
So back onto your original question the ones I purchased were the ones in your second link

Shame he didn't give you the clips for free...but then again they were paper thin compared to the originals.

How did you find the shop experience seeing as they come over as a web based outfit?

If they're anything like mine then the cut off line is very sharp,,,,in fact I think the right one is a tad low

Might put these on the "list"....after the oil change that is....and some front mudflaps....and a playing up pdc....and :)

ballasts look neat...mine had extra brackets that were fitted to the ballast then I bolted them to the ear on the inner wings

I would not call it a shop. It is a typical web based set up with a bit of a makeshift counter, no products on show. loads of stock out back .
They were very helpful though, even if I didnt get any clips, I wouldnt hesitate to use them again.
They are handy being so close, I can take my bulbs in and show them so a least I know im getting the right fit.
I changed my oil and filters a few months ago. when I checked my crankcase breather, I changed my air filter, what a task that was.!!!
I also had PDC problems, one of the rear sensors was not ticking, got one off ebay 16 quid, sorted.
I have a scanner now, but sorted it before it arrived. Easy to change as it was a rear inner, 5 minuite job
2011 Kia Sorento KX3  2.2D 60 Plate Auto in black ( mine )
BMW E83 X3.  3.0d M Sport, 2008 in black ( now gone )

VW Golf 2.0 TDI 140 GT 2010 ( now sold )
Now Sold 55 plate, X5, 3.0 D Sport. Silv
