Hi All,

This is bonkers - Just rang my insurance company to change my policy to the X5 so its insured for collection.  They told be the premium goes up by £160 and that i need a Tracker installed.(Directline)

Rang Admiral, they were allot cheaper and said i dont need a Tracker.  Asked what the difference would be if i installed a Tracker and they INCREASED the premium by £200.

Madness!!

Yes, my cars are with Admiral but I can't remember if I mentioned my trackers or not ...  ::)

I'm with Admiral, and have a tracker. Made no difference to premium. But who knows what tricks they'll get up to on next renewal?!

haha car insurance! my worst enemy!  >:D

direct line require tracker as standard, something to do with the statistics that the x is one of the highest stolen cars and vandalised (my car was egged last night!)

I was with Liverpool Victoria when I got the X5, they wouldnot insure me without a tracker. I cancelled my policy, got a refund less 30.00 admin fee and went to Swiftcover. 460.00 Fullty vomp protected for me and the MRS, no tracker needed.
