X5 Servicing

Post by Gaff » Fri Nov 02, 2012 12:48 am

Morning all, Wanting to change oil and filter soon. Since I bought the X5, it has full green bars and not been service book stamped for some time. Eurocarparts have Hengst or Guttman Oil filters, wondering if you guys know of a better one? Or these generics would do the job as good. Also what Oil do you all use? Anything you would recommend changing as a sort of interim service?
Thanks.

Glad I'm not the only owl on here  :))

Anything else you think I should service/ change in the beast as a matter of routine? She runs beautifully at the minute, and want to keep her that way :)

I would change the oil separation filter - mine looked like it had never even done.

I woul also change the air filter - but mainly because you have to remove it to et to the oil separation filter

Defo +1 for both as you have most of the bits out of the way to do the breather/separator.... :ok:
