Very very interested and in the sort of heat dissipation from the back of them.

LED's fitted and will upload pics soon, but as we'll as the LED units it has 2 metal things, ballasts? But how/where are you meant to attach them as I guess you can't have them just hanging there.

Re: 25w Cree LED Angel Eye Units
Ah ok. They have a ballast attached. Similar setup to the E46 angel eye kits I've fitted. The ballast can just sit inside the headlight unit next to the bulb. There is space enough in there. Just interested in the brightness now as I'm sold on a set.

Re: 25w Cree LED Angel Eye Units
I havent been at home during daylight hours since getting them, so have been unable to take pictures, but will do so over the weekend.
I was just concerned that if the ballasts where touching the actual LED unit, the heat from the LED heatsink would transfer onto the ballast and cause issues.

See your point. Just try and tuck it down into the headlight unit away from the heatsink.
So are they a lot brighter?

This sound a lot like the many page thread about "do 55w HID Ballasts make brighter lights"
)
My (normal aftermarket from HIDS direct) LED ones I have are a lot better than the yellow standard....will we ever find out if the Crees take us to the next level.....i'm intrigued

ok, ok, here are the pics, unfortunately as both original angel eye bulbs have gone, I cant give you a comparison picture. But will try and get a bulb and some point.

I only wanted these for day running at if you are normal car level (2nd pic) they ae brightish. Maybe someone can post a daytime pic of their 3w, 5w, etc. LED's to compare.

Hmm. Can't be sure they are that much brighter. Really need a side by side shot with one 'standard' led replacement bulb unit in one headlight to the 25w jobbies in the other.

Re: 25w Cree LED Angel Eye Units
From that photo they look about as bright as the HIDS4U ones I had on my E53. Fine in lower light levels but not much in bright daylight.
