Vehicle Wrapping Opinions

Post by entropy » Fri Jan 18, 2013 5:05 pm

Hi Guys,

The X5 is my wifes and we wanted to get it wrapped advertising her business.

Just wondered what your opinions are on it? I do think Matte black looks good but i'm aware thats very subjective?

What about magnetic signs?  You can take em off when you don't need them.

I got a pair from Vistaprint - A3 size.

All Eddie Stobbarts trucks are wrapped from new, when they are a few years old they get the hair dryer out and unpeel them. They then can then be resold as a plain white truck.

If you use a reputable company who have lots of experience I think its a brill idea. I see a few Smart cars covered in what looks to be a one piece loggo.
Someone had a link to a PINK X5 on here that had been wrapped ( Lemans Pink I think ! )

Cheers guys,

We might go with just signage if the wrap is silly money. We considered selling the X5 and getting a Aygo or something girly for her business but thats more money and hassle of selling X5 etc.

Plus I think they can look pretty cool and give the X5 a fresh new look.

We do vehicle graphics and signage but not wraps, however an X5 wrap should cost you around £1400 - £1600 and if done properly will look the dogs !!

Had my X6 wrapped and I love how it looks now and every time I stop somewhere people say the same.

Wow that does look great! Now you'd had it a few months how is it to keep clean? i.e no damage at all?

It does cost a bit but then it would be a driving advertisement round town plus a business expense i'd assume.

I have a local place giving me a price on Monday.

Not been done long, still looks like it was when it was done ....... when the salt is cleaned off. No damage at all, it was slightly more as I had the sills and "B" pillar wrapped as well but if you want to save money just get the outside wrapped.
