OK have found 3 wires that may or may not switch the head unit when the camera is powered up.
I've emailed the company I purchased the head unit from, just waiting to get back to me.
These are the three wires,
ORANGE - ILL ,  BLUE - TUN-ANT  ,      BROWN - BACK           ??? ??? ???
ANY IDEAS?

given that you have a video in labeled 'back video in'  (previous photo) and you have a wire labeled 'back'  i think that just might be it.

Well I suppose there's a 1 in 3 chance it maybe the correct lead, but the "back" lead is brown and this colour lead is usually designated as a negative (earth)  and as the electrics on these vehicles are way too sensitive, I don't really want to go testing willy-nilly, maybe a low amp inline fuse would help?

How easy is it to reset the air bag warning light as I’ve had the passenger seat out?

No unfortunately not, but I have the next best thing, a mate with his own garage. She’s due a MOT at the end of the week it can be reset then.
And you never guess how blew a fuse  :o, Yhep I did  :-[, I took the supply off the glove box rechargeable torch as it "was" a positive 12V , thing is now
Anyone know which number fuse this item would be under as it doesn't pop (excuses the pun  :))) out at me when looking at the list of fuses behind the glove box nor at the rear fuse panel  ??? ???.

Hi, I have just dug out my leftover wiring for my aftermarket Dynavin head unit. The Av in plug lead has 4 wires the same as yours, they have 4 phono plugs on them, the wires are all black.
Yellow plug- video in
White plug- aux L in
Red plug- aux R in
Brown plug- camera
On the multi plug that goes between the old quadlock and the head unit, that carries all the power and speaker feeds etc, has a wire that says reverse. This tells the head unit you are in reverse. In the settings menu I had to activate Osd or camera, this denotes if I want the PDC screen to show, or the image from a camera. I chose Osd, as I haven't bought the camera.
So the camera must just be connected to the brown phono plug, and the car knows its in reverse by the reverse wire in the quadlock.
PM ME YOUR MOBILE NUMBER AND I WILL SEND YOU A PHOTO, IF YOU WANT.
I can't post photos as I can't remember my photo bucket password or how to do it, or your email address.
Hope this has helped

thanks for the info. unfortunately my wiring is different to your setup, so I'm none the wiser at the moment. Might have to call an auto-leccy in to tidy up
