smoke in first start
smoke in first start
when start the car for the first time of a day, it has smoke coming out for a few seconds, then disappear. The recent service suggested glow plugs (5 out of 6) have faults. Could it be the problem? or burning oil?
Re: smoke in first start
Diesels always give a puff of smoke when first started on a cold day, and if you have two glow plugs out it will smoke a little more and then settle.
If it's blue smoke and your oil level is falling then it might be something else, but otherwise nothing to worry about.
