Re: Could it be suspension?
I was told years ago that the way to check suspension was to got to each corner and push down as hard as you can, the car should then go down, come up and settle. If the car continues to bounce then something is not right. Not sure if this is still true or practical on a big car.

Don't push down hard on the front of an X6 or you'll likely crack the plastic front wings!! Not sure if the E70 is the same, but it might be. The wings will bend before the car even twitches!!

Well spotted. Would it be worth opening the bonnet and pushing down on the frame above the radiator?

I will have a try. BTW, should be it picked up during a routine service?

Re: Could it be suspension?
Could be rear bushes..
Less likely to be suspension (in my mind) as it should self compensate..
You may need to vent the air suspension (if you do have it) or use 2 jacks and pieces of wood, and then check for any play in the rears.
There is a video on youtube ref why you need to do this, which i have posted elsewhere,
when suspension is complete and pressurised it takes all signs of wear out and you cant tell if its OK or not..
Usual signs are seen on the tyres esp on the inside of the rears..

If things were meant to be easy, then I will soon complicate them....

Anything I say is only from my personal experience and knowledge..
I don't assume to know everything, and know there is a lot I don't know..
But then I could be talking bollox.. O:-)

Re: Could it be suspension?
It is strange, yesterday the wabble feeling disappeared. I don't know it was due to my own imagination or what.
Re: Could it be suspension?
I found my last MOT test report. it stated the both front arm bushes worn. Could you it cause it? I asked a BMW specialist to check it and he told it is not necessary to change it now rather leaving it to the next service. When asked for a quote for replacing both front bushes and was told around £360. Is it reasonable?
