Sourcing the correct screenwash reservoir filter

Post by Smeeagain » Fri Apr 19, 2013 6:13 pm

I want to strip down the screenwash reservoir to clean out the filters (2004 E53 3.0 D Sport) - the last time I did  this I recall one of the filters had disappeared or had disintegrated so I want to get a new one before i strip it down. I have avague recollection that there were two filters ????

cheers

But does anyone have the part number? And can anyone verify my recollection that there are two filters in the main reservoir rather than one ? I'm 99per cent sure it was two because I'm sure one was clogged and needed cleaned and the other couldn't be cleaned as the mesh had disintegrated and I didn't have time to replace it so I just reassembled

This diagram might help.  The parts are called 'strainers'.  If it's the wrong drawing, then the alternates are under the vehicle electrical system sub-section.

That's interesting thanks very much. I don't even have part number five - must have disappeared somewhere before me! And there only appears to be one number three
