K&N Filter for 4.8

Post by reading1800 » Tue May 07, 2013 8:16 pm

Anyone used one, if so does it make any difference? Got a pair for same price as normal filters so seemed to make sense, just wondered if it was a gimmick.

Done my own reviews on k&n which I should have done before buying and think it will be going back on fleabay. Seems like you may have short term gains but potential for things to go wrong with too much oil being used to clean it and it actually allowing more dust in.  Good job got it for less than half price, may make on it!

Plus 1 on this they let more dust in if not enough oil is used and then naf stuff up if to much is used.
You will gain nothing but trouble and probably less performance then stock, been their done it with the scoobs.
There is a detailed article in the web that test many filters and if not mistaken piper cross was the best.

Sorry getting here late (been busy recently) but I'd say your research has taken you in the right direction. Stick with stock!
