Hi all,
Bit of a mixed day, the X5 sailed through the MOT but when I went into the bank about half an hour ago I ended up with a parking ticket for parking in a loading area for a couple of mins.
I was wondering though, as the ticket was typed in haste, the registration number is incorrect on the PCN - so is it actually valid and should I just ignore it?? It says that it is a 55reg when in fact it's a 54reg.
I'm definitely not going to contact the issuer for advice so that it doesn't draw attention to it and personally I'm very tempted to just ignore it and see if they write to me when they check the photo they no doubt took. If in fact they do write I will offer to pay at the discounted rate of £35 (down from £70), failing that I suppose I'll have to pay the full amount.
Anyone have any advice/experience in this situation?
Thanks

Re: Parking Ticket
If the details on the ticket are incorrect it makes the ticket invalid, it could be any details, a friend had one that had the wrong color on it, he actually wrote in saying his car was blue not silver, so did not have to pay anything, in your case i would do nothing and just wait.

Ignore it...... Who they gonna send the ticket to? When you dont pay and they pnc the registered keeper, oh dear it wont be you and if they then produce a picture which some now take aswell, DENY it.

Me too! With such a well maintained car it was never in doubt I'm going to treat it to new mesh grilles now
