Help with pipe ID

Post by Frontman » Sun Feb 16, 2014 1:03 pm

Hi folks, I've had problems with uneven/lumpy tickover, the battery was on its last legs so changed that and no change with the tickover. So had a grope round and found a pipe coming up the back of the engine that was not connected to anything, so after removing the centre section of the bulkhead & the pollen filter/holder I managed to see the offending pipe and was hoping to see what it may connect to but can't see anything near it.
It's a hard plastic pipe that comes up the back of the engine, 8mm diameter, it curves at the end and ends up pointing down.
Not sure where it comes from and was wondering if it may just be a breather for something.
Any help or advice greatfully accepted.

Cheers Col.

Sounds right to me. Cheers.

Next job is to check the hoses/pipework for leaks. Then maybe look at the camshaft sensors.
