Correct Coolant Colour for a 4.4 Sport

Hi all.

My wife has just texted me (at 21:25) and told me that the check coolant caption has flashed up on our 2002 4.4 Sport. I am out of the country at the moment so can't check the colour of the coolant myself.

So I need to know which colour coolant I need to suggest she buys as a stop gap until she can get the BMW coolant from the stealership. she has an appointment in the morning so won't be able to get to BMW until after that.

Is it the pink or the blue coolant she needs?

I have given her a plethora of suggestions as to where to buy some, but she (and I as I've never had to check it in the 3 months I've owned the car) doesn't know which grade of coolant is required.

I am not sure of the year of you car but link below refers to using BMW one but also a comma one which is to the BMW spec one chaps 4.4 with build date 12/02 is blue so in theory it should be the same but can't guarantee it

speaking to guy at BMW service dept he basically said anything that is G48 is fine
