On the look out.... extra pair of eyes

Looked at the 3-4 cars now and none seem to be the "one".....

I am on the look out for an X5, black, 4.4 V8, must be black leather and ideally silver trim, must have heated seats, ideally have the comms back, sub 100k would be great but must have service history. 6.5-7.8k is my budget so I know I am looking at a 2001-02.

I have funds in place and ready to go.

So, if anyone comes across, knows of anyone selling or who is in the trade please let me know...... an extra pair of eyes looking out would be really appreciated and of course there would be drink in it for you

First one.... I have already rung him, he has sold the car.
Second one.... I am after black leather, I do like the grey but black is my preference.

I like the second one with grey leather on autotrader,

i have black leather in mine & find it bland,i feel a lighter colour lifts the interior more...would have loved cream in mine.

To my surprise but nearly all the ones I like are sold or deposits have been taken.

I really thought with funds in place I would pick up a decent buy being so close to Christmas.......

With your budget as it is, you may have to wait a while for a decent one - they are out there - but you are limited by the budget you have set, despite the bad economic times, Xes have held up fairly resiliently.......I do hope you find a good 'un though!

Each to there own, but i have been BCA loads of times, can be a bit daunting first time and some cars do go for silly money over or under, best to do your research first and know the values beforehand.

Trouble with auctions, esp looking for an X at around that price is that most will have been traded in for a reason and probably not cheap to fix reasons.
I would love to be proven wrong, but unless you can get a good aftermarket waranty, it may be too risky IMHO

Hold out if you can, the right one is out there somewhere

I thought I had found one.... black, black nappa leather, private plate, comms pack, 20" bmw alloys, rare blinds, 90k ....

BUT

it did not have front heated seats.... arhhh.

Can you live without heated seats??????
