I bought an Intravee and KCA 420 off Lez well over a year ago and I still haven't found the time to install it... going to be at least June now before I do!
Would want to put mine to the centre console too when I get around to it... still have the sub box to put in too - extremely lazy!
Turks.

i've hooked up mine on temporary basis, and been runnin around with FREEDOM of MUSIC!!
music is fine, i have an issue i can't find the extras - PMd Sanj on that.
another issue - its an ipod nano 4th gen; doesn't seem to charge off the IV/KCA. is that normal? - i've heard of adoptors before.
if it is normal for the 4th gen nano, i don't need to fix it, cos its a friends. my plan is to buy an old ipod off ebay and keep it permanently in the car. in which case the question is - what are the compatible ipods that charge off the IV/KCA? older and cheaper the better

You won't have the extras until you sign up to the intravee forum and request the beta firmware. Unless Sanj can sort you out.
4th gen won't charge. Apple changed to 5v charging do you'll need an adapter if you buy a 4th gen iPod or iPhone.

Extras will be unlocked.
Newest gens not chargeable for that very reason, different voltage. The Scotch thingy (can't remember the name).

What do you have to do to unlock the extras? Mine are just there, can't remember unlocking anything.

Well ! Job Done
Fitted it in about 2 hours and it all went without a single problem
I put the pod of i in the console under the armrest and found I did not need to take the console out. I just took the nearside carpeted bit off of the console (it just pulls off on poppers) and the big box under the armrest just pulls out and gives enough room to pull the cable under the carpet from the rear nearside position of the KCA under the rear seat.
I am a bit dissapointed with the sound quality of the albums I have ripped off of my CD collection but I think the default setting on itunes is 128kbs so I am going to do them again at 320kbs and see if it makes a difference.
Also I am getting a bit of background noise on quiet tracks it makes a bit of a crackling noise between tracks. it is a brand new ipod so dont think it is that, I will try my iphone and see if it is the same.
All in all pleased with it just needs a bit of fine tuning I think.

all workin perfectly and i'm a happy bunny! thanks for everybody in this forum, without which i'd be struggling with a stup1d cd changer!!

Right then I am now signed up to the intravee forum but tbh what to do next may as well be written in chinese.
What do I do now all I want is to activate the extras menu.
The Intravee is working great playing my Ipod so I dont want to do something to muck it up.
