Intravee install

Post by B5tew » Sat Mar 10, 2012 12:05 pm

My new Intravee is being delivered today. :D
I have got the Alpine KCA-420i already so will be fitting it tomorrow
So tomorrow I will either be very happy or on the verge of smashing the car up with a large hammer dependant on how the install goes.
I hope the worlds authority on Intravee ( Sanj ) is on standby to answer any questions or problems I may have :poke:
I know it should be plug and play but things are rareley that simple in B5tew's world :headbang:

i've recieved sanj's intravee, and in fact i have similar questions.

so if i'm not hijacking this thread may i ask?

1. how does the rear bench seat come off? just pull it up (i've read elsewhere about removing the foot-well lights - what's that for)? also any pics?
2. where in the centre console is best? top container (where the phone is meant to go) or the bottom big container? essentially is it possible to wire it up to the top?
3. how to remove or lift the centre console? ive seen threads describing where the pops and screws are, that sounded very complicated. any pics?

things might be easier when tried, this is before attempting really.. so apologies.

Gents,

Look here for centre console removal.

And bench seat comes up by pushing two clips inwards under each corner. Seat is tethered with seat belt, just unbolt to remove.

Best in bottom tray.

No pics of any of it.

yeah thx, seen that before as well, and now dirtymonkey has done a writeup with pix, very helpful. now is the matter of finding time! anyways i will be hookin up the intravee atleast in the boot tomorrow. i've also complicated fixing the intravee by positioning my amp power and av points above the sat nav unit.. so have to modify that lot to incorporate the intravee as well.
