Audio - Speaker Driver front not working

Just picked up my X5, it has the 6 speaker option with sat Nav and TV, the drivers front (Dash Speaker & Door Speaker) not working all the rest are fine... any ideas on why bot would not be working?

It's probably the bm54 unit in the boot.

remove the door card and check the connections on the speaker , or attach another speaker to it to see if that works, if now  as said before could be the bm54 ,
roughly a 100 ish fix

im taking mine to this guy , does upgrade aswell

Thanks for the replys, funny i was just looking at the Carphonics web site so i think i will get it out and send it to them.. it must be channel as both the dash and door speakers on right front are dead..

Dont really want to take the card off until i have some replacements to put in, on that note looking at the net they seem to be an odd size on the E53, or will 165's fit in ?

sending the BM54 off to Carphonics for a stage 2 upgrade with an RCA for a sub and blue tooth aux thingy.., just ordered some JL Audio C2 165 compnents for the front and the same but 2 ways for the rear doors, hopefully should sound alot better

Found some 165 speaker rings on ebay for the e53 so hopefully should be a little easier than cutting the original mounts
