Not AFAIK. BMW offered a different system which had a sub added in. I think it used a different amp as it also had DSP included. No line outs to bolt your own on... >:(

The main amp is down by the battery I think and there is a large connector called a Quad-lock which you could tap into if that helps?

Cool,
will pull the car apart next weekend and see what I can find.... will definitely be easier than pulling all the trim to bits.
Many thanks

you should also be able to get to the speaker wires around where the cd changer is located in the rear compartment.
I killed my previous BM54 (over a period of time) when I tapped into the speaker wires to run an amp & sub ... not fully sure what happened but it cost me £700 for a new one.
It may be a good idea to have a BM54 upgrade with upgraded amp & rca preouts ..... details somewhere on the forum

Good information...
I will be running a Low Gain input feed to the Sub-Amp, so as not to draw tons of output power from the original speaker feeds & cook the on-board amp -
Wise words any way - thank you.
