Seen towbars on ebay for my e53 are they any good,what are they like to fit and what about connecting electrics?I want to use the Halfords 4 bike carrier

There is a how to on here somewhere. OEM is a Westphalia and you know will fit.
Have a look at PF Jones website as they carry copies of the instructions for tow bars and electrics. You can browse and decide. Go for the dedicated electrics kit though as it has all the key connections to turn some things off - like the rear PDC when you select reverse and the rack is on.

Pfjones for the kit definitely and my towbar is a witter detachable fits perfect no cutting the bumper .
