Hi all,
I have fitted a tow bar and a vehicle specific westfalia 13 pin electrics kit. This kit however doesn't put a power feed on pin 10. In hindsight, maybe I should have paid the extra (it was a lot extra!) and got a kit with this facility. My Indy told me it can be done using a relay to switch a feed to this pin from the battery with a fuse in the battery feed. I have the knowledge to do the wiring. He mentioned using the radio power feed as it is ignition controlled to switch the relay, saying he thinks it is violet/white.
Now the advice required.
1. Does anyone know if the wire colour is correct and is that into the BM54 plug (easy enough to check with a multimeter)
2.  Has anyone done this and did you have any problems?
3.  I was thinking 20 amp wiring for the feed from the battery with a 15 amp fuse and 5 amp for the switching wire. Any advice?
4.  Any other or better ideas for the ignition controlled switching wire?
I have searched the forums and couldn't find info on this, any pointers to existing would be appreciated as well.

im also after a switched live for mine as i have the pin 10 kit installed (£40) but the trigger wire to turn the rela on isnt wired yet

My quest here has developed!! I have just bought a Durite split charge voltage sensing relay. (Can be found on eBay, got mine from a local auto electrical factor). Very simple, it has an earth wire, two terminals marked start battery and aux battery. Connect direct to vehicle battery +ve, connect earth and aux battery goes to pin 10. The relay (I believe it is solid state not mechanical) only operates when voltage is above 13.3V ie alternator charging so engine obviously has to be running. Cut off occurs below 12.8V.
The way I see it this operates exactly as factory wired would as in pin 10 is only live with engine actually running. Leisure battery is isolated during engine start & if you are running a fridge it can't drain your battery with engine switched off.
I'll confess, I haven't actually fitted the relay yet!! Auto electrician in shop told me this is how it would work and it seems right to me.
Shadrack I have gone on a bit and don't know if this is what you were meaning but it may help, if not you then someone else.

Just found this old post of mine. Relay fitted and after replacing some fuses in the caravan, fridge and battery charging works perfectly.
