Hi all, complete newbie here so please go easy on me ..... After years of driving bangers I decided to upgrade and buy a 2005 x5 3.0 D sport, I know at that age it will have its niggles .... And one of them is the rear passenger seat .... Central locking doesn't seem to work and you can see the lock mechanism lift up thingy struggling to move up and pop out. When inside if I keep pressing the central locking button and it does finally pop out but not so much if I am on the outside using the key and needs someone to open the door from inside to give the lock a nudge ....... Any ideas guys and gals whether this could be a simple fix or not ?
Many thanks in advance all

Try some WD 40 or silicone spray into door locks and down the 'button' see if it helps before snapping the door carrier.

Are they air driven rather than mechanical? I know this problem was had in a mates Merc and it was one of the Air Lines becoming loose and leaking which meant that the pressure wasn't there to pop up the lock.

It'll be the actuator within the door, door card off job and replace the actuator
