Well got it stripped
Well got it stripped
Stripped the inlet manifold off this morning and the steering angle sensor ready for the new parts tomoz.currently soaking the glow plugs in wd40 in hope they come out in 1 piece.any tips anyone,i really dont want to be messing around drilling them out.

I dosed mine several times with WD 40 or Plusgas, then only used a long reach 3/8 drive socket with my short knuckle racket so I wasn't over stressing the glowplugs. They only took slight persuasion to come out.
If your not happy with the sheering force applied, give them some more penitrating fluid.
The glowplug controller was easier to remove once I undid the pipe manifold directly above it. Make sure you cover the open inlet ports before you break the seal on this coolant manifold to prevent water/ coolant getting into the inlet ports.
As mentioned in an earlier post the large multiplug is hard to extract from the controller ( that's if you are changing the controller )
