DSC light stays ORANGE on display?????

X5 2006 Sport Facelift 3.0 D

I have the above X5 and the DSC light remains on, on the dash.
Pressing the DSC button on the console does nothing.
Can anyone tell me how to find out whats wrong?

I have a Software suite I bought off Fleabay which has INPA on amongst other things.

I am totally confused, I have read it could be the battery ??,  control box under the seat ?? wheel sensors??
I looked at codes as I muddle thro my diagnostics software but cant find any fault codes??

If it was a wheel sensor, wouldnt the run flat light come on as one wheel would be see to be running at a different speed to the others?

Please Help a desperate, always willing to learn, 60 yr old !

Sorted it !

Scratted my way into INPA,and reset ALL em codes (whatever they are ???)...there were reams of them 

The orange lamp remained on but next time I drove the car, I pressed the DSC button on the console and it now switches on and off !

There must have been something in that list of em codes which had triggered and was holding the fault "ON" untill it was reset somewhere in that list.

Great result, bet you wouldn't have got to the bottom of that one without INPA
