OEM TV Tuner Location and Nav Value

Post by Lyons » Tue Jan 16, 2018 12:40 pm

Can anyone tell me where the TV tuner is located in the X5? Is it one of the small bits above the Nav drive?

Also, now that I've replaced my system with an aftermarket kit, can anyone advise on the value of the OEM bits? Digital TV tuner, Mk4 nav drive, screen, changer and BM54 unit.

Hi the TV tuner is under the suspension compressor with the BM54 unit, there is an "L" shaped plastic cover held with 3 screw that wraps around the battery it will be under there (Blue and White plugs) I think the small units above the Nav are Voice activation and the bluetooth antenna.

As for price/value have a look on Ebay that will give a guide.

Cheers. I’ve had the BM54 out but didn’t know the tv tuner lived down there.

Slim pickings of digital tuners at the minute, there’s a couple for £400+!! I sort of imagined £150ish. Will research the rest too, but given the price fluctuations on eBay it would be good to get an idea of value for the various bits if someone knew. I don’t want to rip anyone off, or undercharge them at the same time!
