Diesel knock - daft question.
I've never owned the 3.0D before and am really pleased with how smooth and tractable an engine it is. What was unexpected though is the diesel knock at light throttles when pulling away but soon goes as the revs increase. Is this characteristic of all the straight 6 diesels?

I'm not sure quite what you mean by diesel knock, but Ive never noticed any untoward sounds from mine.
