Online Manual
I bought a manual online for my 06x5 3.0i and almost nothing that I read is going past 2004. This is a worry cause there is apparently some differences in the 05-06 that my manual for 2001-2006 doesn’t cover. Does anyone know what those are or if the 06 I bought is like the 79 iron head Harley and is a “bastard” year and yiu can’t get parts or details on the builds?

For parts have a look at RealOEM. It’s a copy of the BMW Parts system. Use the last 7 of your VIN to pull up the correct variant/year. You should be able to get parts and the database will tell you the ‘from’ and ‘to’ production line use dates. It will also show if any later update to the part is available. From that part number you can go hunting other suppliers.
Sadly most of the manuals are for US variants and don’t cover other markets. I’ve never seen a UK E53 manual.

Thanks. I wasn’t necessarily talking about the finding parts as much as I was the actual installation of some of the parts. But thanks for the info!!!

Have a look at the Pelican site, it is an American site, but covers a lot of BMW repairs.
