Strange click noise

Post by ITBarbie » Wed Jul 20, 2011 9:20 am

Hi

Twice now I have been driving the car in the morning and have noticed a strange click when I engage my breaks. It started on part of my journey and has now stopped so it is intermittent.

Had the brake pads replaced about 2 months ago and apart from the fact I need some anti squeal put on the they are fine. It's like a click just once when applying brakes. I would have thought it may be a caliper engaging by the sound but I'm sure I would have noticed a change in braking which I haven't.

Just thought I would put it out there as not in a position to rush off to an Indy at present. Ideas welcome?

Penny

Are the anti rattle clips on ok?

Also, when cold, can you move the pads by hand a bit as the clicking might be that the pads move about a bit.
