Installing a DICE mediadevice

Post by mas123 » Thu Jul 28, 2011 10:44 pm

Hi,

I have a X5 2003 with MID radio and 6 cd changer and planning installing a DICE mediadevice. Does any one know where I can find the pre-wired 3 and 6 pin pre-wired lead in the boot?

Search Intravee if you haven't already committed.

I understand that the dice mediadevice has bluetooth for hands free calling built in, which the intravee dosen't have.

When you say the plug is on the cd changer, can I access it easily or do I need to take the cd changer out?

Is it easy to take out? Is there an easy way to check whether I can install a Dice?

The dice uses the same conections as your cd changer, so you lose the changer but gain the dice. Simples to take out, just take a look in your boot.

I have bought the DICE mediadevice yet, but are there any issues with it? Is a intravee better. The reason why I wanted a DICE mediadevice is because it has bluetooth for handsfree phone and I will be able to use my steering controls.

Any advice appreciated.

Type in YouTube dice vs intravee, their is a good guide to both. Can't give you a direct link as the iPhone don't allow, but when I found out I had intravee, I watch the vid.
