Fingers crossed for you it's one of the rears.
Mine have been playing up recently aswell constant tone some times and perfect at other times  i'm guessing that it's moisture in one of them  I did the click test the other day and they were all clicking :-? unlike before when i changed the front one and fixed them fine.......for a while at least

Thanks for replies,as soon as ignition is switched on even without engine running the sensors are sounding constantly as if the x is parked right against something, its the same even if i am driving along. It is hard to pinpoint which sensor it is because os the constant noise :x

Nope, bumper off jobbie BUT x555 has done How To for us on removing that front bumper. And the sensor should come in at £25 from eBay rather than the £80ish from the $tealers!

And it is different to all the others (front corner ones are different to the other six). These two are angled...

As Sanj says thats a bumper off job  that happens to be the very one that i replaced on mine a while back due to water/moisture gettin in.The bumper has to come off as it is encased in the steel of the bumper and you can't get your hand up to it.

Have looked on ebay but can only find straight sensors and not the angled ones for the corners, any ideas where i can get 1,also i cant find the part number.

Cheers Rick

Here's the type your after http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BMW-ORIGINAL-PDC- ... arParts_SM
but you would have to email the seller to check the code.
It doesn't necessarily have to be the same code to work AFAIK.Mine wasn't the same part no when i replaced mine but don't quote me on that as i wouldn't want you to get the wrong one.
