Bluetooth pairing problem

Post by Pete » Wed Sep 21, 2011 9:22 pm

Hi,

Please can somebody help me regarding a bluetooth issue I'm having. All of a sudden the car has decided not to pair up with the phone properly (although the phone recognises the X5 as soon as I turn the key). The LED just says PLEASE WAIT and whenever I get a call it doesn't come through the system. I haven't changed or messed with anything or disconnected the battery.

Thanks

Try deleting all texts on your phone and also delete all phones from the cars memory and try to re-pair the phone again.

If that doesn't work, then disconnecting the battery is indeed the next best idea - it sometimes cures electronic glitches like this.

Pete - this might help. For North America but might have a gem or two you can use.

Thanks Peter. The car has been great so far, just had a couple of wear and tear items to replace in the last 6 weeks. Hope all is well for you!

Glad the car is working well for you - we really enjoyed it. Autumn has almost arrived here near Toronto so thoughts are turning to snow and way-below-zero temperatures.
I have a leased E70 35d right now and the lease is due for renewal in february - not sure what I'll do yet - will cost me 43000 Canadian to buy the car and though I enjoy it very much I'm not yet convinced that's what I'll do.
